THE DOORS ARE OPEN
The Doors are Open was filmed in The Roundhouse, London 1968.
Intercut with scenes from the band's stage concert, the programme shows newsreel clips reflecting the events of the day: statements by leading American politicians, including Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan, on the Vietnam war and episodes of protest including the violent demonstration outside the American Embassy in London's Grosvenor Square.
The Doors are Open epitomises a time when national and international unrest were reflected in the music of a generation. It is also a tribute to a group which made it's indelible mark on the whole music scene of it's day.

THE DOORS IN EUROPE
Sullen, threatening, intense, rebellious–
The Doors were '60's rock's foremost revolutionaries. Led by leather clad Jim Morrison, their highly charged performances brought American audiences to their feet. And by 1968 the Doors were eagerly awaited by Europe in general and Swingin' London in particular. Grace Slick and Paul Kantner of Jefferson Airplane provide the commentary to add to the film footage. The rest is vintage Doors, as you've never seen them.

THE SOFT PARADE A RETROSPECTIVE
This historic video features as it's centerpiece The Doors' last televised appearance, aired on PBS in 1969 in the wake of the notorious Miami concert which resulted not only in Morrison's arrest but the cancellation of an entire tour. Material is drawn from The Doors' private archives, including footage from the riotious 1968 tour of America and never before seen interviews. On and offstage, spirits up and guards down, this is a true and fascinating potrait of Jim Morrison and The Doors, as artists, musicians, performers and people.

THE DOORS
One of the truly unforgettable sights and sounds of the sixties, the Doors were the antidote to the love Generation prototype punks who wrote their own musical manifesto. And in Jim Morrison, the leather clad Lizard King, they had the ultimate antihero.
Hollywood may have discovered The Doors — but the original has never been equaled.

SOUNDSTAGE PERFORMANCES
The Doors Soundstage Performances are a truly unique compilation of three completely different Doors performances at three distinct stages in their career. Hailing from three diverse enviroments, Toronto, Denmark, and New York City, The Doors appear in the springtime of their youth performing 'The End' on a Toronto Soundstage in 1967; during their ascent on their only European tour in 1968, and again in their maturity for public television on a Soundstage in New York in 1969, where they design to give an interview and a bearded Jim Morrison conducts his only on camera interview just a few months after the Miami incident. The majority of the material has never been seen before. Not only is it rare but it is startlingly great. Providing commentary are the three remaining Doors: Ray, John and Robby.
